I have recently purchased the 60-min Asthetic Facial at Atlas Medispa through Groupon as they were having some sale back then.
I thought $28 for a facial session was pretty decent! The whole appointment booking was quite a breeze and they are generally not that packed so it was easy getting an appointment fixed at my preferred time and date.
Atas looking place and I was served tea before the session starts. As usual, they will ask you to fill up a form to state your skin concerns etc.
A lady then came by to explain on the procedures and it was then that I know that extraction wasn't included in the package.
P/s: I went back to read and it really wasn't included. It just says exfoliation. My bad, didn't read properly.
Package includes
60-minute aesthetic facial (Choose 1):
- Acne care
- Treats acne-prone skin, blemishes, pimples, and clogged pores while accelerating the skin’s healing process through gentle exfoliation, and Photo dynamic light therapy
She offered me $38 (excluding GST) for normal extraction or a milk scrub treatment which I would have to top up $100+
So in the end my facial session still totalled up to $60+ because I chose to have the normal extraction added on.
Facial experience wise was pretty good!
Things I like:
1. The lady serving me was nice and gentle and most importantly, SHE DON'T TELL STORIES OMG. Thank god I had the chance to really rest and enjoy the facial/massage.
2. The blanket was heated!! That was really comfy.
Things I don't really like:
1. The session was pretty short and it still ended 1 hr despite my add on for a full extraction.
2. The extraction was not very thorough and I was wondering if she did it already or not?? It seems like it didn't happen at all. It wasn't worth the top up of $40 in my opinion.
3. Like every beauty salon, they will try to sell you their packages at the end of your treatment. I was also brought to a room after the facial session so that they could "explain" their packages to me. Good thing is they are not VERY persistent and irritating kind but the lady did kept trying to ask me to sign packages. I have seen worse so I think it wasn't that bad. Just politely reject if you are really not interested.
I bought another groupon voucher for facial at SkinLab which I have not utilised yet but I did check that it includes more stuff for $28.
90-minute package includes
- Cleansing and aloe vera honey scrub
- Extraction
- Aloe vera serum and hyaluronic acid application
- Cold ion treatment
- Head and shoulder massage
- Aloe vera mask application
Yay got extraction this time!!!
